Parent and Community Volunteers
The students, faculty and staff of The Dorset School are indebted to the many dedicated parents and community members who volunteer their time, talents and energies on behalf of the school.

Significant contributions are made daily by: guest lecturers, tutorial assistants, room parents, chaperones, clerical workers, telephone callers, committee members, fund raisers, etc. This active participation in the life of the school enables us to:
  • Meet the needs of individual children more fully, making the educational program more flexible and thus more child-oriented through increased personal attention and assistance.
  • Develop a cooperative partnership between the parent and the teacher for the benefit of the child.
  • Create an environment that encourages a greater two-way communication between the home and the school.
  • Encourage parents to make a significant contribution to their children, their school and their community.
  • Utilize the talents of the wider community to enrich the experience of our students.
